Prayer for Dean Gardens and the Local Community

GOD, we’re horrified by the recent brutal attacks in these gardens and particularly the subsequent deaths that have resulted in some cases. Please comfort the family and friends of all those who have died.

GOD, it’s awful to see this park again becoming a place where people don’t feel safe to be.

GOD, please would You heal and restore this area, so that it becomes a pleasant and safe place to walk and to be - a place of recreation by day and peace by night.

GOD, please help young people to turn away from the things that destroy, and instead pursue life and light with a respect for themselves and others.

GOD, please take away our fear and the intimidation we feel and replace it with the joy of community.

GOD, we ask these things in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ.
